In the spirit of giving, think about a gesture of kindness that you can do. This gift of kindness or random act of kindness can bring about a positive impact on a person’s mood or spirit. Your effort can even have a far-reaching effect beyond the person you did the act for initially. They can be inspired to pay it forward or take action on something in his or her life that positively influences others.
Try this: To practice kindness, here are some ideas:
- Give a smiley face picture to someone
- Share your toys
- Do an extra chore
- Eat with someone new at lunchtime
- Help clean up a mess
- Clean your room without being asked
- Give a virtual hug
- Smile at someone
- Let someone go ahead of you in the line
- Ask others to continue acts of kindness
“Today, give a stranger one of your smiles. It might be the only sunshine he sees all day” – H. Jackson Brown, Jr.
There are many people, maybe people you know, living on their own, feeling lonely and isolated and who could be feeling alone. To spread some kindness, please write a positive message, poem or draw a picture inside an outline of a heart and we at Millbrook Surgery can send your message to someone who may need some kindness at this time.
You are already a Super Star, Be someone’s Super Hero.
Please return your hearts to Helen Littell at Millbrook Surgery, via the surgery post box by December 14th.
Thank you and Keep Smiling.
